Many sales reps have marked deals as closed/won, but have not updated the close date accurately.  Therefore, sales management would like to enforce that whenever a deal is marked as closed/won, the close date must be within 30 days in the past, or a date in the future.  This rule should only impact users when the stage is changed to closed/won.

  1. When an opportunity stage is change to closed/won, the close date must be within the last 30 days or in the future.
  2. When an opportunity is updated and the stage is not changed, no validation should occur.

    1. Hi Erin,

      Very strange – after copying and pasting the formula, remove the minus sign “-” and then add it back in manually. There must be an issue with the formatting when copied from the website.
