hi john how much do you think we need to know about mobile & mobile lite for winter 17?
Mobile Product Comparison

Salesforce Classic Mobile App to Retire in December 2017
https://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/winter17/release-notes/rn_mobile_classic-mobile_eos_announcement.htm
Nice comparison chart- updating accordingly. Thanks!
this webinar on salesforceA may be helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm0IFQT_kGs
I find this unit from trailhead very usefull since it’s an item in the Admin certification
https://developer.salesforce.com/trailhead/microsoft_integration_admin_set_up_integration_products/microsoft_integration_admin_set_up_salesforce_for_outlook_unit_2
Great- I plan to build in links to trail in the content as well
Mobile Lite vs. Salesforce Mobile
Found a nice comparison table:

Hi john,

Thanks
Tejal.
another video with same problem:–How to set up Salesforce for Outlook
Seems to work OK for me?
Following video is also removed : Learning about Sync Directions
Removed, thanks. Will be on the lookup for alternatives.
A small video of SalesforceA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgpWEf7Vgy8 from SalesforceReleases
Thanks, added!
Hi john – I am not able to add mobile devices.
(N) Mobile Administration> Salesforce Classic> Users and Devices – Here I do not see any option to add device. Can you please help me out.
You have to configure access first, then activate the mobile device (it will then show up in the list, you don’t add it from setup).
I remember that Salesforce for Outlook provided the ability to save all or none of the attachments associated with an email. I thought I’d seen/heard that users can now select the specific attachments they want to save. Please confirm this. Thanks!
Answered my own question. It’s available now (as of Winter ’15 or maybe Spring ’15).
Great thanks
Here is another Success TV video regarding Salesforce for Outlook.

Awesome, added.
Hi Amrish & John, please note that this video has been removed as well. Any other alternatives or maybe remove the link?
Thanks
Hi. The Salesforce1 Mobile App Sales Cloud Demo video is not working, after hitting play it comes up “This video is private”.
Might have been temporary? Seems to be working now…
Hi John,
I had troubles finding a download link for Salesforce for Outlook, I found it after while, but it may help others.
Every helppage says, that when in Salesforce in the Setup do either one of the following:
* If you clicked Setup, select Desktop Integration | Salesforce for Outlook.
* If you clicked My Settings, click Desktop Add-Ons | Salesforce for Outlook.
Only the second path works and leads to a download link.
Would you know why the first one doesn’t? There’s actually no “Desktop Integration”, but “Desktop Administration” and it doesn’t contain a “Salesforce for Outlook” item.
Thanks and regards,
Sorry but I am a bit confused. Can anyone confirm that Salesforce1, Mobile Lite and Salesforce Classic are all still available and being supported by SalesForce.com?
Salesforce1 is the latest version. Salesforce Classic is the old version of Salesforce Mobile; Mobile Lite is a subset of classic. I believe all 3 are still supported, but Salesforce1 is clearly where the platform is headed.
Confused: The Salesforce1 video doesn’t talk about mobile, and is half an hour long, not 15 mins.
Thanks,
Kaira
Bummer, looks like this section was changed or removed. You can find it with premier training but I don’t think it generally available anymore. Thanks for pointing this out.
John,
Grammatical error in
>> Mobile Lite has licensing restrictions, while the full version of Mobile may carry an license additional fee.
Can be changed to something like,
Mobile Lite has licensing restrictions, while the full version of Mobile may carry an additional license fee.
Thank you, updated!
